Early Detection Center Opening

Amman, July 5, 2026 – HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), inaugurated KHCC’s new Early Detection Center following its relocation to Princess Basma Street in Amman. The move is designed to improve public access to cancer screening, prevention, and diagnostic services while increasing opportunities to detect cancer at its earliest and most treatable stages.

The new facility brings together comprehensive screening, prevention, and diagnostic services under one roof. It also aims to strengthen public awareness of the importance of routine screening and encourage people to take proactive steps toward protecting their health.

Speaking at the inauguration, Princess Ghida described the opening of the new center as another important milestone for KHCF and KHCC, stating: "This Early Detection Center will be a valuable addition that strengthens our ongoing efforts to fight cancer in Jordan."

The center provides early detection and diagnostic services for several types of cancer. Breast cancer services include mammography, breast ultrasound, clinical breast examinations, and ultrasound-guided breast biopsies. It also offers cervical cancer screening through Pap smear testing, screening services for colorectal and lung cancer, laboratory testing, smoking cessation services, and public health education and awareness programs.

By integrating these services in one location, the center reflects KHCC's comprehensive approach to cancer prevention, early detection, and improving the overall health of the community.
