Athens, June 2026 – HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), delivered a keynote address at the Stavros Niarchos Foundation’s annual Nostos Conference in Athens titled, “The Power of Partnerships in Addressing the Cancer Equity Gap.”
Princess Ghida emphasized the critical role of partnerships in expanding access to cancer care and advancing health equity, particularly in regions facing economic and humanitarian challenges. Drawing on Jordan’s experience through KHCC, she stressed that a patient's place of birth or socioeconomic circumstances should never determine their chances of survival.
Princess Ghida highlighted KHCC’s efforts to provide advanced treatment and comprehensive psychosocial support to underprivileged patients and refugees, and underscored the importance of international partnerships in sustaining and enhancing cancer care services.
The address also noted the Center’s collaborations with leading global institutions, including the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Since 2022, KHCC’s partnership with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation has supported the treatment of underprivileged pediatric cancer patients at the Center.
The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Nostos Conference is a leading global platform that brings together thought leaders and decision-makers to address pressing humanitarian, development, and health challenges.
