Amman, February 2026: HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and Center (KHCC), signed an agreement with the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID (, represented by Ms. Eva Granados Galiano, the Spanish State Secretary for International Cooperation and President of AECID. 

The agreement will support the Jordan Breast Cancer Program’s (JBCP) efforts in early detection and prevention for breast and cervical cancer, promoting community participation, and improving access to health services.

The new grant will be directed to a national project implemented by JBCP in Amman, Zarqa, Irbid, Ajloun, Tafila, and Aqaba. This project is expected to directly support more than 25,000 women through awareness, training, and early detection activities, in addition to indirectly benefiting more than two million women through national awareness campaigns.

This agreement builds on the strategic partnership established in 2021 between KHCF and AECID. Since then, the partnership has directly reached 130,042 beneficiaries through awareness, training, and early-detection support activities across several governorates, while national awareness campaigns have indirectly reached more than 4,090,000 beneficiaries.

The signing ceremony was attended by by H.E. Mr. Miguel de Lucas González, the Spanish Ambassador to Jordan, and representatives from the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and AECID.
