May 2010 Amman- His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah attended the King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s Hope Gala dinner. The event was attended by HRH Prince Talal Bin Muhammad, HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF),
Over 700 guests attended the fundraising event in addition to many cancer survivors who had been treated at KHCC, sending a message of hope to all cancer patients that a cancer diagnosis does not mean death and that with modern comprehensive treatment, such as that offered by the King Hussein Cancer Center, patients have a great chance of survival.
During her speech at the event, Princess Ghida Talal thanked His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah who have been the patients’ champions from day one.
Princess Ghida also thanked event sponsors for their generous contributions to the fight against cancer.
