The King Hussein Cancer Center

The King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) is the leading cancer center in the Middle East region providing adult and pediatric patients with state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer care for all types of cancer. It is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) as a disease-specific cancer center, making it the first center in the developing world and only the sixth worldwide to earn such a distinction. KHCC is led by Dr. Asem Mansour, the Director General.

The King Hussein Cancer Center hosts thousands of patients from Jordan and the Arab world, receiving 7,000 new patients annually, 250,000 visits in outpatient clinics, and 14,000 patients admitted for treatment at the center. The Center performs about 300 bone marrow transplants annually, with cure rates in line with international standards.

KHCC is proud of its long-term partnerships and cooperative agreements with top cancer hospitals and organizations around the world, such as the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the National Cancer Institute of the NIH and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. These collaborations provide the opportunity for an exchange of experiences and expertise as well as extensive research and the ability to sustain the highest levels of comprehensive cancer care.
