A Regional Cornerstone of Comprehensive Cancer Care
The King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) is the leading cancer center in the Middle East region providing adult and pediatric patients with state-of-the-art comprehensive cancer care for all types of cancer. It is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI) as a disease-specific cancer center, making it the first center in the developing world and only the sixth worldwide to earn such a distinction. KHCC hosts thousands of patients from Jordan and the Arab world, receiving 7,000 new patients annually, 250,000 visits in outpatient clinics, and 14,000 patients admitted for treatment at the center. KHCC has forged long-term partnerships with top cancer hospitals and organizations around the world, such as the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the National Cancer Institute of the NIH and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. KHCC is led by Dr. Asem Mansour, the Director General.
A National Force Against Cancer
The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) is the largest community-based organization in Jordan dedicated to combating cancer. KHCF’s work focuses on fundraising and development, global and national advocacy, public awareness, early detection and prevention, non-profit cancer insurance, and underprivileged patient support, engaging the Jordanian public and empowering them as active participants in the fight against cancer. KHCF has established partnerships with leading non-governmental organizations, national development funds and private philanthropic organizations in the region and around the world. KHCF is led by Mrs. Nisreen Qatamish, Director General.
